October Nagoya Games Day - 10/22 at e-able Nagoya

Post by The Other Dave » Sun Sep 24, 2023 11:43 pm

Hi all,

The October games day will be Sunday, October 22nd, at e-able as we've been doing for a bit, down on the first floor as September was. As usual we'll have the room from 9 to 4:30. As far as I know free games day is still in effect! Presumably Kondo-san and/or Itakura-san will let us know when the money runs out.

I ought to be there, with 40K and/or Kill Team, as it looks like the current best guess for Epic is November.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Anyone feel like doing some sort of Halloween-themed game for October?
I was talking to Itakura about like a creeeeepy Frostgrave multi-player, but we ought to save that for Christmas.
Back in the old days, we'd do Mordheim.
I have this old Cthulu/pulp/skirmish game called Strange Aeons, that is a lot of fun!
Of course everyday is Halloween in Malifaux. Is there any easy way to do multi-player in that?

I'm tentatively going to try to get up there this month, with one, two or no kids, depending on which way the wind blows. 40k for preference, Malifaux if folks really want me to, but I'll need time to prep for that if that's the case.

I'm not 100% confirmed in any case, but I figure I may as well be optimistic and make my presence felt ☺️

I (believe) I am clear to be gamin' this month.

First choice is Malifaux.

Second choice is Kill Team, Warcry, 40k or a demo of some game I haven't played but would like too.

I'm going to be there with Space Marines. With the codex hitting it's the month to try something other than Gladius and fingers crossed I can get some Land Raiders or something painted.

I can come!
AwesomeCakeMan has promised to provide my Orks an epic final battle against his space marines, so we will be planning a big narrative battle unless plans change.
It's time for Waaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhh!

I'm planning on bringing 2000 points for now.

I plan to be there, probably continuing our Battletech Chaos Campaign. If @primach or @kojibear can't make it i'll like to try out 40K combat patrol.
So many games, so little time....

So the narrative game will be like this:

-1k point marines vs 2k point orks in a last stand scenario

-i have found a mission specifically for this last stand narrative but i have to either add or improve some of the rules. Additionally, i will tell you about the victory conditions later :D

- Also, i will do my best to make my own terrain such as fortification wall and other ruins

I should be able to come. I think you wanted to have a rematch against Molly?
