Hi all,

The April 2025 games day will be Sunday, April 27th, at e-able as we've been doing lately (link) in the big meeting room on the first floor. As usual we'll have the room from 9 to 4:30, and it'll cost 500 yen for the day if you play any games, and nothing if you just come to visit.

As we finished up Darkest Dungeon in March (with a win!) a few of us talked about starting up a Blackstone Fortress campaign in April, so I'll have that along. ATM it looks like me, Matt, konrad and tallgeese, but even moreso than DD it supports some pretty fluid dropouts and drop-ins so we may have seats available from time to time depending on who shows up. Players, we can hash out what quest we'll start with and any house rules we might want to use when we get started.

In the afternoon I'll be playing Legions Imperialis with Kondo-san, so that's my schedule full!

I think I can be available on that day and will be my first time at the shop.
Will it be okay to bring my Dark Angels for some Combat Patrol or 1000 points game?

Hope you can make it! 40K people will likely chime in with info about that, but note that this get-together isn't at the shop but a local rented room - the place is here: https://e-able-nagoya.jp/ right near Higashi-Betsuin station, and we'll be in a meeting room up on the 3rd floor.

I'm on the prowl for Malifaux. Maybe it'll motivate me to paint something.

Thank you for the feedback,I will certainly be there as I am really looking forward to meet new people for some good 40k games.

Basically it is super informal and we just try to make it work on the day and try to make sure everyone gets to roll some dice at some point.

40k is the most regular game at the monthly events but far from the only one. We usually set up one or two tables at 9:00 and organise some games with whoever happens to be there. Usually before we're finished setting up someone will show up a bit late and a 2000 pt game might shift to a 2000pt on one side vs a 2x1000pt team. Once we're already playing we'll usually continue that game as is until lunchtime, but it's not unusual for folks to trickle in during the morning two such folks can grab any spare tables and get a game going. It all depends on who turns up when, availability of tables and terrain etc.

So the earlier you turn up in the morning the more likely you are to get a game during the morning. But if you can't there's a good chance you can get a demo of some other random game (we're a small club but there's an awesome variety of games making it to the table) or at least have a chat and look at some minis while you're waiting for the afternoon session.

After lunch we usually try to reset the games and make sure everyone gets a game (and it's pretty common for folks to play one system in the morning and a different one in the afternoon so there's usually some turnover even in the folks who are there all day). Sometimes folks whose morning game came did not come to a conclusion will play it out in the afternoon but there's always at least one new game to join in on either way.

TLDR: we're usually not that organised, turn up when you can and we'll fit you in as best we can


Edit: also lots of folks turn up with only 1000 points so that's a good size to get a small game or team up with someone else vs a 2000 point army. I will try to remember to pack a Combat Patrol as well; it's a bit less common for folks to have exactly the right models for a Combat Patrol on hand but it's easy to do if I remember and of course it's an easy format to proxy in. We have been playing Spearhead a fair bit recently so there's appetite for that size of game at least.

@The Other Dave - we're on 1F next month right? I think it's the usual 1F room on the far right side of the building.
