Japanese decals?

Post by ennui » Wed Dec 22, 2010 3:56 pm

Hey guys! I'm getting a Dystopian Wars Blazing Sun fleet for Christmas. I was thinking about putting kanji on there, but there's no way I could write that small. Have you guys seen decals for model ships or anything like in Joshin Kids Land or anything?

Are you back in Japan?

if so welcome back...

As for Decals I have not seen any Kanji Decals but it is most likely because I have not been looking for them.. I would guess to say they must exist... but I am not sure where you would find them... http://www.hobby-shop.jp/index.php?main ... anguage=en this is the best I could do with a short google search... I guess you could pull some decals from a Zero Kit... or from some other WWII kit... and use them... but again I am not sure... sorry I could not be of more service..

Try something from a scale train kit.
Of course, people who can read Japanese might be wondering why you have ships with "Platform 2, Bound for Osaka" on the side.

haha ok, i'll see what sort of plastic model sets I can dig up over here. I'm not back in Japan, but I figure that if these sorts of decals existed, it'd be over there.

Thanks!

lol

That's not quite the look I was going for, but quite interesting nonetheless. Maybe I'll look into those decals that you can print yourself.

Maybe I'll make some decals to deck out my dreadnaught like Captain Harlock's ship, Arcadia...
