I probably hummed a few bars of "Octopus' Garden" while I painted them!
What did you do today.

Re: What did you do today.

I always loved this model, both because the concept is fun and because it serves as a counterpoint to the meme of GW giving new models busted rules - despite a scary sounding warcomm article it was *bad*.
Then finally it got a pretty decent datasheet in the index so I grabbed one to burn some Yodobashi points; just in time for it to get nerfed again in the Codex. Should have built it with flamers!

In theory the new Codex has a "White Scars" detachment.
In practice that means *more Thunderwolves*.

Re: What did you do today.
good work, y'all. It's always kinda reassuring to see that at least somebody is painting, even if I'm not. I've had a busy month, but I have also, at least, Really Seriously Tidied my hobby desk. This sounds like a minor thing, but I ended up building a set of shelves for it as the only viable solution to make it workable. Nothing fancy, mind you, but it got the job done. Anyway, since my desk is now fully armed and operational, I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get some paint on plastic sooner rather than later.
I also went to see The Marvels last weekend. I'm happy to say that the internet is, once again, wrong. I enjoyed it a lot, and my son (Sean) also had a good time. I guess it might depend on how you feel about the characters, but I have no background with any of them outside the MCU, and as such a Kamala Khan-being-a-fangirl-movie was actually quite fun. Certainly, it was better than Quantumania and miiiiiiiiles better than The Eternals. Maybe even better than Black Panther 2, although to be fair I didn't love that. Anyway, if you're on the fence, then I'd say go for it. It's fun.

New Command Squad!
I heard the Marvels is great and it's the Marvel movie I've been most excited for in as long as I can remember.
But I don't actually watch things, as it turns out.

Re: What did you do today.
There are now enough of the LI rules online that I was able to spend some time with army lists and see what I can put together. Unfortunately, the Death Guard I printed up last year are a sort of awkward combination of "not having convenient unit sizes for the transition to LI" and "relying heavily on units that aren't in the LI core book," but at least I can put together 1100 points to match the units in the core box for demos in December. If I proxy Vindicators as Predators, which is probably not the worst thing to have to do all told. (OTOH, it'd be easy enough to ask jus to print those predators out for me in time for December's games day, or just leave them be and roll with it
.)
Also I'm continuing to waffle about my legion and may just go with Salamanders as they seem to have a broadly useful legion rule that just applies to everything green in your army, while also meeting my important legion-choice criterion of "has colors".

Re: What did you do today.

Speaking of models that were saddled with terrible rules on release and occasionally wobble their way to OK
