Boss = great ?
and Chief Henchmen....= ok?

not sure what you mean mate.
dats awrite - ah wiznae talkin' tae yoo onywae :D

incidentally, keeping on the Work-In-Progress theme, I have spent the past week sticking together dark eldar. Nothing worth posting just yet, but Ive been putting effort into making em pose in funky ways, especially the wyches. The kabalites are actually not very customisable, as one set of arms matches with one gun (i.e.right arm+gun #33 matches with left arm #33a only. Likewise legs and bums. You cant mix and match.) All the legs are much of a muchness in terms of position (this is JG's one weak point - a tendency towards somewhat static miniatures.) So, the kabalites are, imho, pretty bog standard. Fine enough for what they are, but compared to the sproingy goodness that is the Wyches, theyre a teency bit disappointing.

Incidentally, what do folk think, morally and artistically, of using a colour scheme that someone else made up? Ive been having a bugger of a time coming up with a scheme for my Dark Eldar, and I desperately dont want to do em black. Unfortunately most every other newbie Deldar fanboy is trying to be "original" and not doing em black, too. One almost feels that painting em jet black would be an artistic statement in its own right...

anyway, i found a rilly nice colour scheme for em, but it raises the question: should I? I mean, should I just take it and make it my own, or should I continue to plague my poor ravaged brain and try to squeeze out a drop of inspiration?

what say you?

I say keep your eye single to the glory of your work.. no cop outs mate... You are going to have this army for years to come and you of all people will punish yourself every time you look at them if you do not give them their justice. Take the the narrow path that is less traveled by.. it should make all the difference.

I dunno man - i painted my nurglies a kinda greenish brown, and so far, Im fine wi dat...

besides, as ive mentioned in the past, my craftworlders are my painty army. My nurglies and my dark eldar are speed painting extravaganzas.

You read it here first:

Dave's dark eldar do not see the tabletop unless fully painted and based!

next update: 2015... :(

I have to say I understand your feeling but.. your Tau army color scheme is sheer genius I love the what they look and I never would have though to use such a color scheme... I am very happy to have it as a jumping off point for the rest of my work to follow.

Behold.. Her eminence the harbinger of menoth! perhaps the most complicated model I've ever assembled. Still very work in progress. The trickiest thing is figuring out how to carry her around without snapping off robes of flags.
