Green stuff doesn't sand well at all - as you've probably found, it kinda tears like stringy cheese. However, if you mix in some milliput it hardens to a more sanding-friendly texture. :)

That sounds like a good idea. Mixing it with another resin. Could be the best way to do it. How do you mix putty do you mix both components for both types.. Or do you mix the the blue with the white or the yello with the black.?

I generally use a real fine grit and I tend to mix my GS with a bit less yellow than you would if you just cut across the tape. (about a straight 50/50) so it's a bit stiffer than a straight blend. Also the sanding is for shaping. I've found you can burnish the sanded surface with the back end of a dental tool to shine it back up.
Of course, if you just get the damn thing sculpted right in the first place, no need for the preceding excercise :?
I've heard about mixing different putties together. I'm working on a "SquatOrk" Nob, that will take some extensive puttying. Lots of opportunity to experiment there.

Less yellow means harder. I see I thought less blue was the way to make it harder. I will try the tonight. I am really getting restless I am waiting for the models to arrive so I can build them up. And work on the prodotypes

You mix your GS as normal, then you mix your milliput as normal. Then you mix a bit of milliput into your GS. How much you add depends on how milliputty you want the end result to be.
