And back to painting........
@Dom- Brush priming can be done. Black gesso (artsy stuff you use to prime canvas for oil painting etc) will work on figures. The stuff shrinks as it drys and you don't loose any detail. Ennui primed his Warmachine figures that way, even the infantry models. I tried it out, just spot-priming this and that, and it seems to hold up. Let it dry overnight for best results.
And as for Taxi, my favorite character was the Reverend Jim.

Too young to remember Taxi... so I will just say... where can I get this brush on Primer and will it work in my airbrush? :mrgreen: :mrgreen: that is exactly what I am looking for... I also may mention that the GW Stuff works well... I have given that a try and I think it works well.

I was thinking Latka Gravas. No cookie for me.
@Badruck- Do not try and put gesso in your airbrush. I can only imagine the horrible ways it would clog it. Brush it on.

I was thinking of buying the GW spray to prime but reading this forum it seems like everyone uses the oh so cheap and available tamiya line.

My primary colour is bleached bone, I was thinking of priming it white. What spray do you think is the best?

Secondly, I have questions about varnish. When to use, what to use.
I have been told that you don't need to use varnish on plastic models, but on metal models it is good to prevent chipping.

What varnish should I use for my metal models then? Gloss or matt? What products? The GW varnish?

Thirdly, there is a question to be answered about fluid used for dilluting paints. I read that some people use special fluid or distilled water to dillute their paints, what are the advantages to this compared to normal water and if so what kind of products are available? I saw that tamiya has some fluid that dillute with.

Lastly I have a suggestion;
There are now many threads in the painting section so how about sticking all the threads with guides and tutorials and newbie questions on the top? It would make it a lot easier to find threads without using the search function, which I never like at forums. :)
