Sounds like a very cool way to play FB... every one show up with a Dragon and a rider... of the nearest equivalent...

DragonLance? The dungeons and dragons roleplaying setting?
It doesnt matter how big the dragon is though, he still only gets the same stats as any other dragon from the High Elf army book.
Painted Minis in 2014: 510, in 2015: 300, in 2016 :369, in 2019: 417, in 2020: 450

Pretty much. The HE book has 3 types of dragon which range from pretty good to awesome (with points to match). Having a bigger model doesn't give any real benefits.
