1935 points!

Unfortunately the only 65 point unit in World Eaters is 10 more of these guys.

That would be better but instead I'm going to paint the next 10 to the minimum possible standard 😅.

@Grant- Nice to see some "just for the joy of artsy display" figures. Are they like 52mm or larger? Seem heftier than our usual heroic scale 32-35s. And what paint and finish are you using? Maybe it's just the photo, but the finish looks just super-flat.

I mostly use Scale75 which is famous for being extra matte, but there's some citadel and vallejo in a few spots. I'm still not using a finish because the ones I tried on a test model said they were matte but were definitely not, unless I'm using them wrong which is very possible. The goal for these zodiac minis is to make a set for a family Christmas present, so I figure I just have to get them home for the holidays and then they'll probably be in a cabinet safe from the elements.

As for their size, they're roughly fist-sized I'd guess. With some protruding bits. Could fit in a 4 or 5 inch cube (excluding the fancy plinth).

Sounds about 75mm scale. Man....I would seal them. If you try shipping them unsealed they are going to get all scraped up. I usually just use Mr.Hobby
Top Coat Matte, and while it's not absolute flat, it is pretty good and easy to find. That Scale75 paint must be almost like gouache. I can see the difference even in the photo.

Incredible work, @Grantholomeu!

These little angry blighters only got 1% of that TLC if that, but they're done so we're at 2000 points. That means my "New Year, New Army" got done in the correct calendar year, if barely.

A smarter person would have started less other new armies during the same year, especially given it was a bit of a cracker for video games.

Yeah, Grant, those are fantastic!

I got some priming done on the next three Underworlds warbands in the queue, but mostly I've been doing "new edition, new storage" figuring out how to store and transport my UW stuff in the new edition, and took the opportunity today to unify my card sleeving since I've been using the same sleeves for 6 or 7 years now. I'm hoping the new edition's scheduled relatively-restrained card release pace means sleeving everything won't be a bad idea, but it will make prep for games days and deckbuilding both that much easier so fingers crossed.

Continuing my "let's use the paints that are famously super-saturated to paint models in as desaturated tones as possible" nonsense, here are everyone's favorite cargo cult stormcast, the brethren of the bolt for Underworlds:

It helps that their rules in 2nd edition look like they'll be a lot of fun to get to the table.
