I must confess Ive been distracted by the footie, too. that, and work. And, in my geek defence, i started watching evangelion the other day, too. Not much painting going on here, though.

Why? It has been so boring (apart from the All Whites) that you could probably get a good sized army painted during the :) tournament.
I have been cheering for the All whites but you just reminded me that you are from NZL... not so sure I can like the all whites now... but any team the make Italy look bad is OK buy me.. Nothing against Italians... I just can't stand their Football team... or there league...

They have great painters and great gammers ... does any one know if Helldorado is and Italian game...

Its French
Look at the Helldorado thread.
I just found this French game on the net:

There are rules in English, but the page is all in French

like the herald and the GDs. the bloodcrusher is nice too (altho not as good as the metal ones). Dont like the daemonettes (the old metal ones were ace! why change em?). dont like the horrors. old ones were much better. They dont need bloody huge great teeth. GW have to realise that the daemons for each power are SUPPOSED to look different. stop eroding those difference. you want big pointy teeth? - play khorne.

Really I think all the new models are ace... we all know that Khorne Models are the best it is not a wonder that they are making the other powers look like them... I can say that the metal horrors are very good but they are a pain to put together... plastic kits mean that is a thing of the past... as for he seekers I love the way they look... the old ones have not been in the shops for a long time so it is a good thing they have brought them back...

the new seekers are not, in any way, shape, or form, sexy. Daemonettes should be sexy. They are sex daemons. That's the fluff. Slaanesh is the god of wanton lust. Daemonettes are described in all the fluff as being attractive. The current models are not. they are ugly. they have rage distorted features, big fangs, and wild crazy hair. Somewhat like a khorne berserker. Daemonettes (and slaanesh models in general) should be cute, sexy and ALSO have huge great claws, be covered in blood and generally mess with your head. You should be thinking "ooh, nice....AAAGH. eeeeeooow. brainbleachbrainbleachbrainbleach..."

not with these ones, you dont. thus, i dont like em.

Daemonettes really haven't been the same since they got rid of the lobster tails. Lust Lobsters of Death for the win!

Lets keep the daemonette discussion in the 40k threads eh? This is the painting and motivational thread.

Well, what did I get done today? I finished sticking all the wood panelling on the side of my Malifaux building. I should be able to start painting it tomorrow.

I also got a blood angel finished, and did a couple of layers of blood red on a Baal.

The little blue grey dusty bits are weathering powder. They look better in real life. Just have to base him now.
