In that case, I'll continue to use this thread. If some mod wants to split 'em, feel free. I'm easy!

I failed to meet my June goals, alas. So my July goals are a bit more modest:

1. Finish up June's goals. This means:
1a. Finish up the unit of 10 Spider Riders I have half-painted.
1b. Paint up a block of 20 Gobbo Spearmen.

2. Finish up my first full 3000 points of Epic Eldar. This means:
2a. Finish up the formation of Wave Serpents that've been sitting on my table for the past 3 weeks. I just have some black detailing to do, but it's the fiddliest step, which usually slows me down.
2b. Paint up a formation of 2 Scorpions and a Storm Serpent.

That seems a reasonable sort of goal for the steamy and energy-sapping month of July! (knock on wood...)
Feel free to call me Dave!

Huzzah! Dave actually painted something! (dave me, that is, not dave-the-other-one).

Heeding Prim's wise words about not painting Corax, I decided to paint some WM stuff, as I'm currently feeling quite into it. So, I spent this evening painting boobs and bums. That's right folks, it's time for the Witch Coven of Garlghast.

Done so far: skin
still to do: clothes.

so, about half way done...(I might split the clothes into "cloth" and "armour" depending on how long it takes to get one of em done...) Anyway, I hope to have em done by the weekend, and then spend sunday painting the egregore, which is a big floaty spiky metal ball, with (thrice accursed!) OSL on it.
After that - a warjack, i hope.

I guess not. I'd prefer to keep everything in here for now.

Progress so far: finished off the skin on the witches (final shading and all highlighting) and painted the clothes/armour on 2 of them black. The black took longer than anticipated due to them being teeny tiny wee fiddly minis wot are not in heroic scale and thus have tiny hands etc. Also lots of straps and chains n things made it a bit fiddly. Anyway, tomorrow - black on number 3, and get em highlighted.

Finished the Wave Serpents last night, woo-hoo! Nice to get something done after being stuck on those spiders for so long. (They look pretty much the same as the Wave Serpents I posted in my Epic thread, so no pics.)

I probably should alternate between game systems, but got caught up in the Eldar-ness and decided to put together the superheavies - 2 Scorpions and a Storm Serpent. They're surprisingly fiddly models! If I get lucky and the humidity drops below 50% this weekend, I should get the Wave Serpents sealed and the superheavies primed. (If not, I'll hand-prime the SHs and hold off on the WSs).

I concur. That is by far your nicest scratch build. The freehand on the side looks the business, and you have plenty of detaily bits. Out of interest, whats the gun barrel made of?

Yep, wicked scratchbuild. It is really, really nice. It is, in fact a wickedly nice scratchbuilt tank.

Its a chimney from the adeptus mechanicus building for cities of death.

Which reminds me, Badruck do you still have my cities of death bitz box? I'd like it back along with any necrons you may still have. ;)
