Yeah, I wish I had the spare cash to drop on an army full of Mk. 3 and 4, but as it stands I have an empty (by FW standards) wallet and a games room full of Mk. 7 minis. The legs are Mk. 6 if that helps? :) I can just pretend that the entire force is involved in prototype armour testing for the mechanicum.

Primed some necrons.

Considered how much it would cost to buy just enough models to play Advanced Space Crusade. Got depressed.

Eh, either. I mean, worse comes to worst if I really want to play I can borrow models or use counters, just the collector in me thought it might be a neat project, especially since I do like the whole minis-painting thing, but don't really have any interest in collecting a 40K army at this point.

And really, it's not *that* bad. The way the game works in practice, 2 squads of scouts, a squad of terminators, 2 boxes of tyranid warriors and a box of genestealers would set you up for pretty much any size game. Which is a fair chunk of cash, but well within the realm of possibility.

(I'm keeping my eye out for a reasonably-priced ASC or Tyranid Attack set on eBay, though.)

Would be nice if you could do it with the original minis.

The game does pop up on ebay and goes for around $120. Shipping to Japan would be a bugger though.

I have seen the scout minis a few time but havent seen the original tyranids so much.

If I were to play, I would bring my orks down I reckon.

Which is a shame because they're great models, well ahead of their time in terms of quality and complexity in plastics. (The 'Nids Prim bought off me have my - now heavily converted - original ASC warriors.)

Today I made it through to the end of the week without going completely insane and managed to mess up my password on my old I'd. Hence this new one. (Ash).

@Ash aka Phoenix - how can you screw up your password? Surely you just click the "d'oh! I forgot my password!" button and it emails you a link to fix it, no? That's what I do when I periodically forget mine...
