Here are two greens based on art that I did for the ShortWars Kickstarter.

I'm stoked to see my designs being sculpted by the likes of Bob Olley and Alessio Cisbani at Wolfbane-art.

Today was pretty productive. I had a day off to go book NH17. After I got home I started painting the Overlord beaches and stuck some sand down to one of the cliff sections. I assembled a Higgins Boat (a type of landing craft) and assembled the framework for some barbed wire. I also got a large pile of tank traps painted and ready for basing.

I tried out some new weathering stuff from Vallejo, a rust paint that includes small flakes of something to give a rusty surface to a model. By itself, it doesn't look that good, but it drybrushes up nicely.

Quite alright.
Actually, the staff at the hall are very friendly and helpful, so it's really not that bad. Plus, taking a day off work allows me to do other things as well.

I ordered my Antisocial Germans today from Plastic Soldier Company, rather more Fallschirmjager than I'll ever need and a Panzer IV for good measure, all for about 4000 yen. We'll see if my current painting drive will survive camouflage in 15mm.
