WIP Thread

Just a quick update, mostly for Prim's benefit.

After a longish while of "agh I hate this mini and never want to paint it again" (sorry Dlord, but I really do...), I finally put brush to Corax once again. And, lo and behold, things went really smoothly! huzzah!

this evening i managed to:

do all of the lighting on the 2nd streamer from the 2nd light source
do both shoulder pads lit from the 2nd light sources
do the back of his head lit from the 2nd light sources
do the trim of his cloak lit from (you guessed it) the 2nd light sources

All i need to do now is smooth out his face a bit, glaze yellow all over the 2nd light source lights (currently white), and do the red stone on the ground wot lights up his feet and shows all the nice detail on the base.

All in all, not a bad evening's work, and it means theres a wee smidge of hope I may even get it finished in time to return to Prim on Sunday. Hurrah!

ver' nice. As Spev asked - did you dip them? Theyre nice and smooth, and dont look particularly drybrushed. Good show

heh, thankyou gents, yup firstly, dipped in devlan mud, then progressively layered with dheneb stone, then menoth white from privateer press range then some bleached bone. They look dirtier in real life, the photo is a bit glarey...and they shall know no fear, just like space marines
