Re: What did you do today.
I've mostly been relaxing and list-fiddling with my free time after the charge to paint things up for last Sunday. It helps that I also have everything painted for the army I'll be using at NagoyaHammer, although I actually still haven't decided between a couple options (twin-lascannon razorback or hellblaster squad? hmmm...).
I did order a model to use as an Enginseer using some proofreading proceeds yesterday - a (gasp!) Wargame Exclusive model even. In my defense, at least I picked the version of the model that's not a fetishy pinup, the name on the link notwithstanding.

W.E gets a little too fetishy pinup even for me, a guy who has spent most of the last year sculpting mostly naked amazon road warrior savages. Good god those cars are crazy beautiful though. Built some new ones since last time I looked. Some interesting new, not-fetishy not-Adeptus Millitaricopyrightablitum figs too.The Other Dave wrote:- a (gasp!) Wargame Exclusive model even. Alllmost done with the rat ogre! Final touches and maybe a bigger pair of pants.
Left over putty is turning into more Strange Aeons horrors.
Got my Squat Ork Bosses ready for cleaning and priming. Had points for a Kombi-Rokkit! Yeah!

...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Yeah, a lot of their stuff is pretty eeeeeeeh, as indeed is the pinup version of the model I got. Part of me doesn't want to give them money, but at least I can rationalize that I'm voting with my wallet for the kind of thing they make that I do think is cool?Konrad wrote:W.E gets a little too fetishy pinup even for me, a guy who has spent most of the last year sculpting mostly naked amazon road warrior savages. The Other Dave wrote:- a (gasp!) @Konrad - The Rat Ogre is looking really good!
Last night I managed about an hour or so of painting. I did some work on my entry for this month's Gauntlet and painted the bows and boots on a unit of Arab archers.

Re: What did you do today.
I was looking back through all my posts for this year. Can't believe I've only painted 9 minis all year. Bloody embarrasing, that is, even for me. I shall get on it forthwith. Also reviewed general hobby-ness this year so far. T'aint pretty, lemme tell you.

That does seem to be a fairly woeful tale. But it's not like you'll be buying more Magic cards in the future or anything...right?me_in_japan wrote:I blame Magic. Everything is Magic's fault.(see sig for the sad and sorry tale of woe...)

Re: What did you do today.
I found a small hobby shop nearby that has airbrush booths to rent by the hour, so I'm planning on taking my fleet of guard vehicles over to paint en masse.
Not that the basilisk I'm working on looks bad, but painting it by hand takes ages and is hard to do evenly.

That's an awesome idea. It'll certainly speed things up and you don't have the hassle of cleaning up afterwards.Dekana wrote:I found a small hobby shop nearby that has airbrush booths to rent by the hour.
