Re: What did you do today.
I actually - gulp! - did some painting today. My current plan is to finish up the 8 Stormcast on the bench (5 Hunters to make my 1000-point-ish AoS force street-legal and the 3 dudes from the Nightvault box) by the 8th when I go back to work. Today I got a lot of work done on the first two Hunters, plus did up the very nice decorative bases for the Nightvault warband. It's good to be back on the wagon!

In a bout of incredible productivity I painted two more figures this weekend!
I'm going to lay down before this kills me.

This morning I finished off three more minis for the painting challenge. I've submitted them to the challenge blog and in a few days I'll post them up here as well. I'm spending the next few days with the in-laws, so I'll be taking a break from my brushes, but I have lots to do come the new year.

*record scratch*
Can it be that Dave made significant progress on some painting?

Feels good, man. That's half of the 8 Stormbros on the workbench I want to get painted in the next week, done but for furs, leather and metallics (and, as I look at the picture, finishing up their white faceplates, but whatever).

Also, I've discovered: I'm about ready to be Done painting black and yellow for a while.
(Fortunately, I can be, with no need to expand my marines and not much pressure to expand my stormcast until I want to try some bigger games.)

Some pictures of my recent hobby work.
These were done just before New Year, but I didn't post because of the painting challenge rules, yadda yadda.
A Bren Carrier from the Guards Armoured Division. In place of the standard Bren is an American .50 Cal HMG.

A Sexton self propelled gun, also from Guards Armoured Division.

A Churchill from 31st Tank Brigade.

And some figures that I have repainted after they were scratched and chipped.
6 Infinity figures for a friend.

6 Gang types for myself.

And some D&D figures with liberal helpings of Tamiya Clear Red.
From left to right, a Blood Golem, a Were-Crocodile and some kind of googly-eyed beast.

And a close up of Googly's maw. I tried creating some viscera and I think it came out ok.

Re: What did you do today.
Finished up my first 4 models of the year:

4 more on deck - 2 more hunters (the guys on the right with the crossbows) to get my Stormcast army to 1000 points and ready to start playing some games, and the other 2 members of Stormsire's Cursebreakers for Shadespire. Then I'll get cracking on Blackstone.
