Nice! I'm glad to see you picked the Best Hat for the organist.

@Jye- Glad to see some paint on that Exorcist. Those things just scream (boom? wail? what noise does an organ make?) 40K in all it's baroque, ridiculous, over the top, grim-dark-ery. You need to play some Bach every time you roll the dice. Those wolves are lovely sculpts are they not? I have a couple I did for a Mordhiem warband . Still use them for various and sundry beasties.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Which is why I'm bringing this:

Wow, that looks great! The Excorcist is probably one of my favorite models in the whole Sisters line - I can see how it'd be a complete pain to paint though. What did you use for the black? It's a really nice effect on a vehicle.

Also those Blightlord Terminators and Riptide look great as well. Honestly, I'm dreading having to fight this stuff - I'm not sure if I'm even able to bring enough guns to actually kill these things.

I wasn't able to get any painting done, but I finally got my transfers put on some of my vehicles, so I'm gonna say it was a slightly productive day. I think my tank commander is finished now. (Oh and you guys get to see my amazing photo setup too - kitchen paper taped to a box.)

Oh really? That looks really good for just the one paint, especially the arched reliefs along the side. I might have to start trying these contrast paints out.

Also is the organ player wearing a helmet with stained glass windows as eye lenses? Wow, I'd say that's over the top but then I remembered what setting we're talking about here.

That Exorcist is the 40k-est looking thing I’ve seen in ages, possibly ever. As a dyed-in-the-wool Eldar player I generally don’t do Imperial stuff, but I can’t help but nod with respect at the design of the Exorcist. Skull faced techno cherubs on a missile launcher in the shape of a pipe organ. On a tank.

Respect, 40k. Respect.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

The Exorcist is the absolute best, except when you're painting it and weren't bright enough to do subassemblies. Then it's temporarily the worst.

Working on something much easier now - the Warcry core terrain. Great stuff and honestly pretty easy to paint, I'm just going straight Snakebite Leather on all the wood and it looks great. I was moved to explain to my wife just how awesome Snakebite Leather is, and she humoured me by saying the wood "looked real"

(it's also OK for leather)

Finished up my Lord of Contagion tonight, meaning I'm all set with my full order of battle (well, I'm 4 poxwalkers short, but not actually planning to field a 20-strong squad right off the bat) for Sunday, knock on wood.

I also knocked out a couple pieces of MDF terrain.

I just bought 72 miniatures online. That counts as hobby progress/regression, right? (Perry American AWI models for those interested.)

@All - Nice work.

I really need to get my painting mojo back. I've done nothing recently.

Well, buying minis is technically the first step to having painted minis, so I guess it counts as progress.
What did you buy?
