I got those two teams finished and based up, so:

As I hoped, with the base decoration done and on the board they look fine, and will be easy to differentiate in-game to boot. I'll prime up the dwarf and chaos teams tonight and get in on them next week.

They look great, and definitely like sports teams more than warbands so I think it works well.

Nice to see some BB stuff. Purely by coincidence I actually played a proper game of BB today (not sure what edition it would be. Whatever-my-frazzled-brain-can-remember edition, basically) with my youngest (age 7). It's actually really unusual for him to want to play mini games, despite my best efforts - he's more of a running-around-outside kind of lad, but he was getting really into the BB today. Ended up a 2-2 draw between his 'zards and my dark elves. Plenty of casualties all round, although the blood was definitely deeper in the dark elf dugout. My poor witch elf - two squares away from a glorious touchdown and she fails her dodge roll, trips, and dies. :shock: Clearly Nuffle's opinion of me has not improved since the last time I played Blood Bowl :lol:

Also, I finished painting my Underworlds ghoul warband, but right now Imgur is being an ass and not letting me upload. Pics tomorrow, hopefully :)

Ah Blood Bowl. The game where needing to roll 2+, with a re-roll is practically a death sentence. :lol: :lol: :lol:

@ToD - Your two teams look fantastic.
@Jye - Nice looking Rhino.
@Dekana - 1/48 aircraft decals might be a good source for what you need. WW2 US bombers often featured elaborate art on the nose and under the cockpit.
@Jus - Yeah, some of those Templars came from you. The NMM looks great, but a little time-consuming.

If you're coming to the November games day, I'll have blitz bowl on hand if you want to try that out too! (MiJ, if you can get a copy off eBay or whatever, it might be worth looking for - 30-40-minute game times, generally a lot less to keep track of, and being less punishing in terms of a single roll ruining your day might make it a good fit for younger players. It certainly is for me! :lol:)

NIce work all around lads

@Prim- Love seeing those Black Templars. Good, old grim-dark religious fanaticism, but not as over-the-top as Sisters.
@Jye-I sort of like that blue/yellow scheme have going on that tank. It would look good on banners and robes and whatnot.
@jus- Wow! That is the business! I don't think I've ever done real, pure NMM. I use similar techniques, but use actual metallic paint as the base.
@All the Blitz/Blood Bowlers- one of these days I'm going to raise an Undead team. One of these days......
@Dekanna- must....not...google... "smutty airplane nose art"......
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

@Dave
All this Blood Bowl talk is getting my cold blood heated. Do you think I can get away with only buying a team + the new rulebook? I might scratch build a pitch/stadium down the line though.

For Blitz Bowl I don’t think you can get just the rule book, and there are lots of card components - player stats, plays to score points and so on - although I’m sure you can find the card text without too much trouble. For Blood Bowl I don’t know I’m afraid, I haven’t been keeping up with the new edition.

My bad, my brain had been reading Blitz Bowl as Blood Bowl and I had forgotten that they made a spin off game. I'll probably pass on getting Blitz Bowl myself but I might end up getting a team for Blood Bowl though when season 2 comes out if people are interested in playing.
