It's the new hotness, the Scions of the Flame, for Warcry.

They're actually just solid in play but I'm a fan of the models, even against their flashy Khainite friends that came in the box with them. Looking forward to getting them on the board this weekend at Plamojuku.

@Jye: I agree, those models are badass. Nice work on them!

I finished up airbrushing my flyers and painting over some mistakes. I'm pretty happy with the way camouflage patterns and colors came out.
Next up will be the metal bits and the cockpits (I'll be painting over them).

Dekana's pics made me open the boxes of my IG and I've been retouching and finishing models. a first in a long while. Nothing special, just a test model for the original Warzone colors.

Good stuff!

@Jye, love it - you've been improving recently! (If you're interested, the one comment I might make is that using the same colors for hair and flame makes some parts of the models a bit hard to read, but OTOH it's a cool effect and that's hard to argue with.)

@Dekana, it's always cool to see some nice camouflage on some IG vehicles. Lately I've been going down a rabbit hole of tank and aircraft modelers' YouTube and the itch to make a "realistic" IG tank is strong.

@Miguelsan - man, I was really into WarZone back in the day. Fun!

@MiJ - that's a solid ghouly paint job and no mistake! I like the bats in particular.

I assembled and primed my Chaos and Dwarf teams for Blitz Bowl last night, which went fine although I'm finding that Grey Seer's coverage is a bit lacking when put down over brightly-colored plastics - you don't notice so much over grey plastic I guess.

@Dave - I knew I was rolling the dice with that one but I thought they might be big enough goobers to deliberately try to dye a fire effect into their hair and do a very average job of it

@MiJ I sympathise with being harsh on your own paint job but those ghouls are good. If there's anything wrong with them it takes a more discerning eye than mine to see it.

@Dekana that's looking like a hell of an IG force coming together, hope to see them on the table some day.

@Miguelsan looking forward to seeing the IG too!

Doorcry terrain for games at Plamojuku tomorrow!

Reasonably happy that I managed to get it done as fast as I did.

Went to GW and got a free figure (Well not exactly free as I ended up buying some contrast paints :D )

Its cool that they're giving away free figures (other than the basic Space Marines they used to give out" and its shame we still don't have a GW store in Nagoya.

I painted up the Ork Trukk that I scratch built a while ago. I also managed to paint it up without using any model paints other than Tamiya's dirt texture which is a small win for me. The blue is a little bit too saturated even with washes and weathering so I might mix in some black or something to tone it down next time.

I also painted some freehand checked patterns for the first time and it was a lot more fun an therapeutic than I expected it to be. Painting Orks is so much more relaxing than painting anything else in my opinion.

Chugging away on my dwarfs - they should be done by game day next week, and the chaos team *might*.

I'm not exactly sure when "hmm, Akhelian Green is a lot more teal than I thought it would be" led to "let's paint these guys like a 1990's Taco Bell interior," but so far I'm not regretting the decision.
