Nice pirates! Do they have a ship yet? 😃

I spent quite a lot of time hobbying today but this little fella is the only one that officially moved the backlog in the right direction. And technically I won't even use him.

I generally prefer the Primaris models and more to the point having restarted from scratch after 8th edition I have tons of spare Intercessors, so normally I just put the bigger bodies on smaller bases when I need firstborn. This time that wouldn't do though - this otherwise upstanding looking fellow is one of the Fallen, from well before Cawl's little project. He's the model I'll be giving to you fine folk to use if I can get some Fallen Hunts going in Crusade; I get XP if I can take him out, you get RP and XP if you can protect him.

This involved taking the Space Marine Captain from Start Collecting: Space Wolves and Dark Angeling him up, so to rebalance the scales I had to take a dread from Combat Patrol: Dark Angels and wolf it up a notch.

Don't talk to me or my son ever again etc etc.

@Dave: Love the swirling free hand design on that Chrome mox. Great blending techniques there. I like blending .
@Karantu: ...hmm that base. What could it be? We'll just have to wait and see. I should get started with my submission.
@prim: The Pirates, they look great. I really like the one in green looking through a telescope, are they reaper?
@konrad: Love it. The subtle cream shading in the creases of the coat really goes with the white
@The other Dave: Great. Disgustingly so. Is the the secret smoke wash on display? what was the recipe for that again?
@jye: The idea of having an actual fallen model as an objective. LOVE it! I'm a big fan of narrative objectives, they just make the game that much more fun.

Kind of - I use it to shade the leadbelcher basecoat, and again over the grey before I do highlights on that. It's about a 50/50 mix of Vallejo Smoke and Vallejo black Game Ink, and about the same amount again of matte medium, then further thinned with a whole bunch of water. Like 1:1:2:4 smoke / black / medium / water? Smoke is just magic, and while the Vallejo colored inks are sometimes kind of meh, their black ink is really nice.

The guy in purple pants is by Reaper. The other minis are from Black Scorpion.

Nice! I've had my eye on that kit for a while - it's definitely one of those "I can't believe it's easy to build" deals.

(Man, I need to break down and get the Cities of Sigmar book at some point.)

You can play her in Warcry now too (hence her tagging along with the Gryph Hounds) - any Order faction can take her.

She's not *amazing* but pretty solid - decent movement, tough, decent damage.

Why so green? Well the greens were in the room I was painting in and a lot of other colours weren't.

I'm set for the next Plamojuku day I can get to so back to 40k in prep for the next Nagoya games day (fingers crossed for the rumoured early SoE ending in Aichi).

Green is good! I'd seen discussion on twitter of painting them up in Sons of Horus "off-jade" or whatever you call that color, too.

Finished up some more knights for Titanicus:

I think I may just power through and do the last 6 Questoris knights I need to do to wrap that project up - so I'll get to work making their bases tonight.
