Call it the "Dark Blade of Desire" or something. Muhahaha! I do dig those figures. A bit busy, but really have an old "Slaves to Darkness" vibe still there. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 12:38 am@mij - I do like how Slakeslash's scimitar turned out generally, though, even if it's darker than I envisioned.
@Jye - I have to admit I'm not entirely certain how the league is being calculated, so I'll probably just show up to the next plamojuku day with the Pageant.![]()
What did you do today.

@Primarch - Robute's finest! Nice work. Although Robute is looking quite pissed off!
Look forward to a legion vs legion showdown soon.
That razor back is unfamiliar with the fronted lascannons.
@Dave - I have not been tempted by NMM yet - it's scary lol
- but you have overcome the fear and conquered it. They look really beautiful.
@Jye - You are cracking on good sir! They are looking really crisp and yellow is never super easy to paint! I think the wash has pooled at the bottom of the legs?

Re: What did you do today.
@Koji - Thanks. It's not a razorback (they don't exist in 30K anyway), but rather a razorfront.
@Jye - Thank you. The red marines are quite striking. The jump-pack guys seem to be channelling Iron Man.
@ToD - Nice work on the Slaaneshi cultists. The blue-white fade on the clothing is awesome.

Known side effect of the technique I judiciously chose - "Mash contrast onto the model until the primer is finally gone, mash some nuln oil onto any stray metallics, on to the next model".
I'm happy with the throughput but slowly beginning to suspect I won't be winning Golden Demon this year after all

Anyway more of the same coming through. I should be able to manage a little combat patrol for these guys now, maybe even debuting them this week if I can make the RP work.
Need to get back to the Sisters and Wolves though, both of whom are getting threatening backlog wise.

Well, I don't know about that...a few high lights here and there might make them a real contender.slowly beginning to suspect I won't be winning Golden Demon this year after all
I've been at it with the green stuff again. Since I discovered the toothpick I haven't been able to stop sculpting. So rather than painting the few hundred minis that need painting, I am instead adding to the pile.

and some conversions for our warhammer crime RPG

Re: What did you do today.
Those are looking awesome, jus! No need to worry about the painting pile if you're having fun doing cool work.

I was seized with an urge to do an Intercessor Sarge now that I have a whole bunch of the Dark Angel upgrade sprues. Power Sword isn't strictly optimal but with its recent buff it's not the worst insurance against Plague Marines getting up in your face.

@Jus - Nice work on those conversions.
@Jye - You're knocking those Dark Angels out at an impressive rate. Sadly (and I know from experience), there are no Golden Demon awards for quantity.

Well a fully painted army is its own reward I guess! Just need to play less armies.

For instance if I already have a perfectly serviceable Space Wolf army maybe I don't need to hare off on a dread based tangent?

The annual winter painting challenge I joined has finished. This was my last set of entries for the challenge.

Ninety!
Great work all around but just casually tossing in ninety infantry at the end there is next level
