It's only a matter of time before Morgwaeth's halberd snaps (again), which is a bit of a design annoyance, but overall they're some really nice sculpts and were good fun to paint. I seem to have figured out a Good Enough Contrast-based NMM for the steel blades too, which is nice. I'm also finding myself tempted to do more experimenting with flesh tones - I was really aiming for a pale-blue "'80's anime alien" look for the skin, but the undead connotations are strong in the mini-painting world. I like how they turned out, though.

Now I look at em again, they remind me strongly of the Skorne from hordes. Not that that’s a bad thing, mind you.

I threw one together on Underworld Deckers, of course. But it's going to be Khorne and Slaanesh main for a bit (or at least until I get sick of them), then I want to try Nurgle and the new ghosts and then maybe these guys. Too many warbands!

@MiJ - Skorne is also a good look! In retrospect, I probably could have leaned into the blue skin tone a bit more to really get what I was imagining in my head, but TBH I was worried their pallet would be too close to the Slaanesh guys I just did, who have basically the same pink hair (although a lot less of it) and lots of blue.

So my next worry is "what color for the armor on the Slaves to Darkness warband?" Black is the box color so that's right out , I've been doing a lot of red with gold trim so don't want to revisit that, green has strong Nurgle connotations so probably not... Maybe blue with yellow trim for a tzeentch-leaning chaos band? Decisions, decisions...
