nice enough if you like that sort of thing, but what use is a 30mm storm trooper? you cant play a game with it, and if you want to paint one, why not 70mm? And, for 25euros (plus hefty shipping) it all just seems a bit meh. Probly just me thinks that, tho...

30mm would be the same size as GW's stuff. When was the last time you actually saw a 28mm mini that actually was 28mm. So yes, you very much can indeed play a game with it.

Yep, they are pricey but the general reception seems to be "Who cares!! They are multi part stormtroopers!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAYE!!!!!" over on Frothers.

I'd probably just use them for dioramas.

Basing it on regular old dirt and grass seems wrong, though.

Raises hand.
Er...When I was painting up a 28mm scale Napoleonic brigade?

But those stormtroopers would look pretty cool if you did an IG army out of them. :D
C'mon, there's got to be at least one star wars nut out there who will at least consider it. Personally I want to do counts as Orks using Klingons from star trek.

Now to find a use for this:

Well historical goes without saying, duh! :?

I saw that R2D2 thing the other day. Did you check out the unpainted one? Half the detail is actually just painted on rather than sculpted on.

And yes, a Klingon/Ork army would be wicked.

Yep, must agree about the basing. I want sandy bases and an orange shoulder pad on the sarge.

it's not that they arent to scale with other minis so much as there isnt (so far as i know) a star wars mini game. And if there is, it's populated entirely by stormtroopers (at the mo, anyway)

thus, their point, I see not.

There are probably loads of minis out there that could serve as bounty hunters, piratey types, odd aliens, and such.
