@Karantu. That is a blast from the past. Is that some classic 80's lead, or have they re-done Battletech? I only dabbled back in the day, but I had buddies who were hard-core Battletech...ers?
It's from this box set which was released early 2019.
The models are a made of a slightly soft plastic. Something like what army men or DnD board game miniatures are made of. They are re-releasing a lot of mechs in the near future though with brand new sculpts and I think they're going to be in plastic too.

Nice to know there is some Btech love in Nagoya. Here in the mists of Kansai we have started a 40k Crusade campaign and I managed 2 games in 2 weeks, quite the record for me!

@primarch: Thanks for setting up the forum!
@Miguel: I really like the heavy weapon teams in that IG force. Wish I'd thought to add sandbags to my bases...

I'm currently assembling a few squads of veteran infantry to load up in those valkyries I painted last month. Airlifting basic infantry squads has been working okay-ish in games to score objectives, but I'd like something with a bit more offensive punch. An infantry squad with a single plasma gun at BS4 is not really a threat to anything, but 1 heavy flamer and 3 plasma guns at BS3 is harder to ignore.
Lots of drilling and magnets required for all the special weapons, but I'm getting through them fairly quickly.

I also picked up a busty vindicare assassin as a christmas present to myself.

@Primarch, That dungeon terrain makes me want to get into DnD again. Finding an NPC in an iron maiden sounds like a fun time for sure (don't sue me Blizzard).

@Miguelsan, I've always loved Battletech, I just wish more people played it. Anyway painted the mechs is really fun and they they look cool enough that I'm happy even if I don't get to play that often.

@Dekana, Can't wait to see that Vindicare Assassin painted up. The usual Imperium stuff is BDSM enough so that model should fit right in.

Riding on the high of painting up one mech I ended up painting a few more. Here's more pictures of the individual mechs for anyone who's interested.

I went for a slightly lighter green on the Shadowhawk and I think I like it more than the green I used on the Commando and Locust. The Wolverine on the other hand started out as a bit of a desert theme and ended up as whatever it is right now. I might have gone a bit too hard on the orange but it's too late to change that now. The Shadowhawk needs it's cockpit painted but I'm still deciding what colour I want to use.

Happy holidays, folks!

In my own giant robot news, I finished up my last two warhounds that I'd had kicking around for a bit:

Meaning I finally have all my titans painted (but OTOH I decided to use part of my winter bonus to pick up a Nemesis Warbringer, for completeness' sake :?) At the start of January I'll be getting an influx of Underworlds stuff, and 'til then I'll work on some tiny giant robots I picked up at Plamojuku a couple weeks back, some Questoris knights I again picked up mostly for completeness.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Everyone has been busy it seems.
@Karantu & ToD - Nice mechs guys.

As for myself, I have painted a Gravestone Golem.

And between Monday afternoon and Wednesday evening, 44 Skeletons.

Wow! I love this. Who makes this Golem?

It's from Reaper Miniatures, part of their Bones range. I got it as part of a Kickstarter a while back.

Are you sure that you need more skeletons in your closet, Prim?
