Put the finishing touches on a new Commissar today. Too useless to use on the tabletop, but I quite like the model. I even tried to experiment with a different skin tone by trying to make him look really old - like he's 130 and only kept alive with rejuve treatments or something.

He certainly has an unhealthy, pale tint. Though I think I've seen paler at game conventions. :)
I read that the oldest person in the world just died. A Japanese woman, 119 years old. Amazing.

I made some billboards that should be able to act as at least concealing terrain.

Sometimes it's fun to make stuff with simple cardstock, paper, and sticks.

Those are great! "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" has to be the best title though.

Legio Mordaxis walks!

Image

Squeezing in just under the line so I actually painted something during the month of April, here's the Lord of the Empty Soul, my fourth of five Mordaxis engines.

@Grantholomeu, I love those billboards! I think I've seen the Brain that Wouldn't Die, back when local VHF channels would show schlock B-movies on Saturday afternoons. Ah, memories!

That chainfist looks like it means business! Great work as always.

The Guardians are the least painting time/PL efficient unit so I'm happy they're done.

(At least until the Storm Guardians get their turn)

I do love me a bit of B-movie. "Plan -9 from Outer Space", is the king of "it's so bad it's good" "This Island Earth" is great. "Forbidden Planet" actually almost holds it ground vs modern sci-fi as far as I'm concerned. I think I'm going to make some popcorn and watch "Robot Monster" tonight! Maybe start sculpting one! :D

Eldrad and the Spiders, coming at you out of Ulthwe.

Those spiders are the first non-GW minis I've ever painted, though at their scale the experience is not that different. Thanks to jus for printing them out!

25/50 PL, and a legal combat patrol, so they're at least playable.

Last night I spilled Tamiya extra thin all over my work space! :? You only need to spill a very little bit, apparently, for the capillary action that makes it work so well to also make it get everywhere and creep up onto sub assemblies you had lying around. Came this close to a completely demoralizing ruining of the model I’m working on, but fortunately I had enough bits on sprue tucked away to salvage the stuff that got the worst of the meltination. There was a bit of cursing, though, I tell you what.
