That fortress is amazing! Proppa Orky terrain. I really love those Darkest Dungeon minis as well - I had no idea there was a tabletop game.

I finished my first Adeptus Mechanics mini!

Awesome stuff! (And I love how in my head now hearing the phrase "weakness of the flesh" automatically triggers the Mechanicus opening scene.)

Things have been getting a bit... fleshy on my painting table as my queue moves into the eldritch body horror of the Darkest Dungeon itself:

"Eldritch centaur with giant staring eyeball in its belly" is so dumb and so cool I can't get over it. (I'm painting up monsters I've never really seen in the computer game because it's hard and I've never got that far, it's great.)

Those are amazingly gribbly, nice work!

In theory that's the Tau all done for next week. In practice if you think you have painted enough drones, you have not painted enough drones.

euwwww..... That contrast paint does give everything a meaty sheen, doesn't it?

A lot of that is the semi-satin sealer I use, but yeah. Speaking of, here's the "Shuffling Horror," the go-to eldritch horror for when you need tentacles with your gribbly body horror:

I'm closing in on being done with the set! A couple more batches of "wandering" monsters and then I'll be in to the final bosses.

A Mordheim Elf in Grey-scale/OSL. (It's not great, I know).

Some decorative columns and pillars

And some grimdark Tau.

@Prim- Love those 'stealers. Makes me want to break out the old Space Hulk game.

NIce start on the elf. Just get back in there and start blending. Monochrome pallete would work pretty well for Mordheim. I've experimented with similar techniques.

Mordheim is fun. Everyone! Mordheim is fun!

And I am sooooo close to building some Turnip 28 figs. What are you calling your Regiment? What root vegetable goes with Prim? Parsnips? I think I will dig around the bitz box this weekend and see if I can assemble a Toff or what are the sub-commanders? Lackeys?

Bravo, Prim and Konrad. Bodacious work, as usual. Monochrome work is really interesting to do, imho. Very good for learning about using contrast to create interest and stuff. Also, it's relatively fast and you don't have to worry too much about colour theory and whatnot.

This past week I've been beavering away building and painting terrain for a game of Space Weirdos against Spev on Sunday. Sadly, my youngest (Noah) has, as of yesterday, developed a hundred and twenty nine chicken poxes*.

He counted.

So, aye, that's Sunday's game down the pooper :|

On the plus side, I have time to actually put some details into the terrain now, and I'm quite enjoying the build.

*Noah's fine, btw. He was immunised when he was younger, so he only has relatively light symptoms. A little fever a couple days ago, and now liberally doused with itchy blebs, but his general demeanour is genki. He's happy to get a few days off school and unlimited Nintendo, at least.
