What did you do today.

No such thing as overboard when it comes to stabby-bits!
Isn't kit-bashing a delight? Probably my favorite aspect of the hobby actually.

Re: What did you do today.
Thankfully other than being borderline cold for the paint (definitely lower than GW suggested temps ) today was perfect for priming.
I now have at least one of every Votann unit primed, and I'm confident I can play them in Feb, though whether that's 50 or 100PL is at the whim of GW actually updating the PLs, the printed ones for the Votann are clearly lies and arguably crimes.
Blood Angels aren't primed as an army because I don't have all the kits. Most of the characters, one unit of Death Company and most of the Sanguinary Guard are done but they can wait till March at the earliest at least. I've been playing them in TTS a bit and they're extremely good, especially in Crusade, but dealing with Emperor's Children when your whole plan is fight phase is miserable

This week's meetings got the only piece I wanted to paint for game day done, all too easy!

It's not much but some basing I've been procrastinating for 2+ years is done.
Re: What did you do today.
The annual painting challenge I enter kicked off on Wednesday afternoon.
I managed to get a couple of minis done.
Some dwarves
Some vikings
Some saxons

Re: What did you do today.
I've been cheerfully chugging through the minis for Darkest Dungeon over the last week or so - it's taken a bit of technique rejiggering, as (I am finding) I've gotten used to letting the detail of GW minis do a lot of the heavy lifting for me. But on the other hand a flat cartoony style fits the game's art style, and everything's turning out pretty nicely:
I've also gotten a good start on the monsters, but the pictures haven't turned out so well - I'll try to get some better ones when I have more of them done up.

@ToD - I like painting style you've used on those minis, they look like they're from a comic.
As for myself, I painted a few Reaper minis (a warrior and some giants) and some Polish soldiers for Bolt Action.

@Prim- nice giants. I feel sorry for your players if they have to fight all 3 of them.
My Gorkamorka-forta re-fit is reaching the final stages. I think it sort of spiraled out of control.......
Need to tweak the bits where it pieces fit, because they don't, and one more layer of sand to fill in the texture and gaps and then finally get to painting.
Eventually, I'm going to try and fit in a mine-shaft entrance and tower/wind-turbine (green-enurgee!) on the back, but not now. Maybe next year.
