@Jye - That's a LOT of volkite. I would have thought it would eat through guard at an incredible pace?
Just the infantry, but Marines don't need special help killing troops. Then the tanks obliterate it.

That's actually how my game with Matt went last games day. Those fancy rocket marines I painted recently killed everything with two legs, while my vehicles did nothing but die to Matt's Russes when I carelessly left them in LoS. Essentially we ended up in a position where I had nothing but infantry and Matt had nothing but tanks, which favoured me greatly in the scoring department even if the fight itself was a mutual mauling.

Yep! Not too far off the 9th rules; as expected the Volkites have Devastating Wounds rather than bonus mortals but that's for the better into serious armour I think.

Can't use it competitively but I've never actually played a competitive game of 40k so that's no skin off my nose.

Played a great game with Chris today to see out 9th! I think in the end I only had to kill 80 of his 40 Necron Warriors

Mathed it out to a probable draw at the dying stages, though I think Chris might have ended up squeeking the win. My Iron Hands were OP nonsense as always but the Necrons went a long, long way not dying and those Canoptek Doomstalkers were on fire!

Great way to finish up the edition.

Allllmost got my Turnip 28 figures finished and ready to paint. Still need to touch up some Bastards, and I need to cobble together one more Snob of some sort, and I'd like one more unit of something. But, I really want to get painting up what I have. Been ages since I touched a brush. So I think I'll hold off on those until I feel properly inspired and get painting.

I did some priming yesterday and then painted up the first of my 10th edition objective markers. I think it should parse as a statue and not a model on the table.

Here's your chance to practice your weathering techniques! A little green patina, some chips and cracks, spot of static grass here and there and voila!

Yeah that would have been great. Maybe next time!

This lot should suffice for the first games of 10th though.

Whereas this lot will hopefully make a good showing of themselves at the Ichinomiya game day this weekend!
