So, I often put some tunes on when I am painting. I think it helps the time pass more pleasantly, especially when I have 20 elves in front of me all in need of a lot of work to get them prepped for a tournament.

What do you listen to when you're painting? What do you do if you dont listen to music?

I listen to Metallica.

Or I put on a TV show I know well, like Blackadder, and have it as background noise while I paint.

I put the TV on in the back ground then I turn on 40k Radio... wait that Show is dead now I meant to say Worlds End Radio... love it... you all should check it out....

re: what i listen to while painting. It depends what I'm painting. If its something big, spiky and mean (e.g. a khorne marine), i listen to stuff likeRob Zombie or Disturbed or Rammstein. If it's something Eldar, I find nothing hits the spot quite like DragonForce (I swear that Eldar would listen to these guys if they really existed...) or Iron Maiden. If I'm painting something a little more chilled out (e.g. Ar-Fienel, or possibly an eldar seer) I listen to stuff like 2 Bit Pie or Flukeor Goldfrapp

However, I'd say that since I started painting (about 15 years ago, if not more) the band Ive probably listened to the most is Metallica.

Metalica is a very good choice for painting... As far as music goes I have listened to Bob Marley more than any thing else... but that is because it was one of my only CDs back in the day and because my mom did not like Nirvana so I could not listen to them much while I was painting.... May have to try some Rage Against the Machine while I paint the blood on my World Eaters...
