Apologies for the threadomancy, but here goes.

I'm not on CMoN much these days, mostly getting my painty info via Facebook (once you start friending pro painters, you quickly find pretty much everybody is friends with everybody else. Worth doing, if you like a facebook feed full of pretties), but anyway, for those who havent seen this mini already, I figured it was worth drawing to your attention. The sculpt itself is not one of my favourites, but holy hot damn that is a fine paint job...

Just for no particular reason, here is a nice thread from CMON. Nakatan is one of those painters that seem to do this stuff effortlessly, but, starting at page 4 (not the viking bird with the schmoove, schmooove skin. Scoot down to nearer the bottom of the page) there's a fascinating (well, I thought it was) WIP of a self-sculpted model of Aerith from FFVII. Seeing it go from somewhat scrappy-looking sculpt to ermargerd-did-he-sell-his-soul-to-make-this levels is quite interesting, I thought. Anyway, for your viewing pleasure...
