The stylizing and simplification required to scale a model down to 6mm can be used well, yup.

If that company made a 28mm scale one of those with some missile on the sides or on the bottoms I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

More folks are getting into the game: These guys have their indiegogo campaign to finance plastic sprues of not-Guard and not-Orks halfway to funded just 2 days after starting, with 40 days still to go.

Looks cool but I wish they had separate sprues for orks and umies.

If they come out with some grots, I will be a happy little camper.

That's one of their stretch goals, apparently - looks like their initial target only gives them the cash to machine a single sprue, so they're sticking everything on it including bases.

"Alien Slaves" have been unlocked, in metal for now, in plastic if they get the funding.

80, so 16 stands' worth, for 15GBP (including postage) is pretty reasonable. The Onslaught guy charges $7.50 for 5 stands' worth, and that doesn't include postage. They've also mocked up some totally-not-Leman-Russes, which are tempting for me as my only Leman Russ company has a mix of regular Russes and Demolishers, making it technically not legal for a Steel Legion force.
