Some being from the collection of Mr Bryan Ansell himself!

I recognise a few of them from Eavy Metal. I recognise a load of them from the old GW catalogues.

Old to the motha-flippin' skool!

One thing that strikes me is the banners - the mini's paint jobs are, while good, somewhat different to today's style. The banners, otoh, are stand out excellent. That nurgle fly-head banner from RoC is what I've always intended to put on my biker lord. Consider me further incentivised :)

Yeah. I do prefer that style, but admit they havent really stood the test of time, and don't really compare to what is out there now.

The banners on the other hand still hold up pretty well.

Awesome stuff!

...man, though, base decoration didn't used to be a thing, did it?

I am going to be polite and say that the bases were done in a minimalist style ;)

Wow, this is at Foundry. Good to see they are using their factory shop as a gaming space now. I remember them advertising for a gaming group a year back. Lovely models. We aught to have an oldhammer, I reckon we qualify.

Great blog as well. I have some of those White Dwarves from around that time. 1.50 a copy. I love the old 'Eavy Metal photo pages. :) Cheers for this.
Ogre Shamen mini FTW! Love those old orcs as well.
