Remember guys, it isn't the winning or losing which matters. It's being able to rub that Golden Daemon in M_i_J's face which is important. :D.
Just kidding, of course.

Best of luck with your entries! Bring back some more prizes for Team NagoyaHammer.

Cheers guys. Ten and I are hoping our very different strategies both work out and we can bring home some Daemonic Oscars. His plan is to paint models to the very highest standard, impressing the judges with his skills and superior technique. Mine is to luck into a category that has three or fewer entrants so that I'm guaranteed a trophy. It worked at Nagoyahammer. Top 3 in the terrain painting contest. Yeah baby!

Had a good time hanging out with Mike, although there was more waiting around this year, because they didn't really put on a gaming event with contests and other activities like last year.

The competition was tougher this year, and I was surprised to get silver demons for both my entries (large Warhammer model and diorama). Mike didn't place with his models, but his Wraith Knight in particular got a lot of attention and comments.

Well, congratulations to you, Tenbear, and commiserations to you, Pikey. It's interesting to hear that the level has gone up - that's good news for the longevity of the Japanese leg of the contest, although it's clearly bad news for those of us wanting to win prizes. That said, if the level has improved, the value of the trophy also goes up. I hope you both had a good time, regardless of final result. Did anybody else we know place? I'm thinking ichiban, here.* Also, any chance of pics?

*edit* out of curiosity, do they have finalist pins/medals? Or is it just top-3-and-done?

*never mind - just checked his blog. I would really like to enter this contest next year. Let's see what fickle fate throws in my way to prevent me from taking part...

@Pikey - Guess there were more than three entries in your chosen categories then? Still, you entered, which is a lot more than most of us ever did.

@Tenorikuma - Congratulations on picking up two more trophies! Well done indeed.

@Kojibear - I think there are rules preventing folks from entering on behalf of other people. M_i_J would need to enter himself.
