using photoshop to present your minis.

Post by me_in_japan » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:04 pm

I found a handy link where some helpful chap describes how to use photoshop to sort out all yer dodgy photos of minis. I do a similar thing when i upload em, (learned from another tutorial i read a while back) but this one is nice and clear and has some stuff in it that i havent tried yet.

I'll give it a shotty when I post my egregore pics, but i recommend y'all try it too :)

Assuming we're not just using MS Paint to edit our pictures because we cant be bothered buying (or otherwise acquiring) a copy of Photoshop.

*shrug* just spreading the love.

Id highly recommend photoshop, though. Its very handy for all sorts of stuff. And you can edit photos with it, too :)

I know. I used to have a copy, but then my hard drive crashed and it was never on my list of things to reinstall. I'm pretty sure that there are some free art-sy programs floating around the web (legally free that is), for people who want to try them.

probly. The tutorial could most likely be adapted for other programs. Its the techniques that are worth trying, rather than the photoshop-ness of it.

altho, as a more serious aside, your photos are nice. Focus is good and the mini fills the frame. Lotsa folks dont do that.

I use the mighty digital altering capabilities of the awesome MS Paint to crop the picture.

That backdrop does look wicked awesome though.
