should I buy this?

Post by me_in_japan » Tue Aug 10, 2010 5:50 pm

Like the thread title says: Should I buy this?

please note that there is in fact a very well painted mini on the cover, slightly to the right of the cleavage and the honking great sword. :?

Personally speaking, I found the JBT DVD very helpful, but I feel bad cos I didnt actually, technically, pay for it. This AlexiZ one was just released a few days ago, and it seems to cover a variety of things not in the JBT one (NMM being an example). So, should I do the right thing and pay me hard earned cash for 4 DVDs of some Russian bird painting wee toy men, or do you reckon its all a waste of money?

My computer seems to be acting up. I can only see the Russian bird with the great cleavage and a honking great sword. Where is the mini you speak of? :D

Same here, wierd isnt it.

Anyhoo, personally I wouldnt because I would never use any of the techniques in it. You on the other hand (M-I-J, that is, not Pikey) probably would, so I suggest you pick it up.

thanks for the input, guys

CMON are really pimping this DVD. I reckon I'll probably get it. I'l Need to find a way to explain to the wife why I'm spending all my time watching the russian bird, mind you.

btw, has anyone else watched the JBT DVD? (or any other one - hot lead, fr instance)? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, do you want to?

Natalya is on of the top painters of the day and she is hot... not a very good combo for wives that hate the hobby... Fortunately my wife might even watch it with me.. I do not think it is worth the price man. plus shouldn't you be painting...

its a moot point, as the DVD is now sold out. The entire stock in about 3 days. Bah :( So much for gathering people's opinions :( Next time, I should just buy it and not dither so much...

true that man... it would be like me asking should I get more Blood Crushers and by the time I get enough input to make an informed decision they will come out with a new model... in plastic...
