I have little knowledge of the greater lore of 40k, at least those more minor characters, although I do listen to 30/40k audiobooks as I paint. Hmmm....Is he supposed to be the lord inquisitor from the Inquisitor fan movie?

@jehan: hmm it's interesting that you came up with that. Not what i had in mind with this mini but love the idea of a fallen pskyer. I may have to do a conversion for one! Thanks for the idea.

@job: correct ! Good guess. An Inquisitor, ordo malleus, here's the rationale behind the choice in bits.

The base of the model is of course the dark vengeance dark angels librarian, the psychic hood, robed hood and out stretched hand really lend themselves to a psyker Inquisitor. I think we'll make him a mastery lvl 1psyker.
Holy, righteous and puritanical. This Inquisitor sports an antique suit of power armor, festooned with purity seals. The torso is from a vampire counts skeleton warrior Champion. The holes and chain mail give it a real weathered look. He's been fighting daemons since M41 750 after all. Also notice how the power pack on his back is not standard astartes gear. That's right it's actually a skitarii pack. This is to make him look smaller than the average space marine because...he isn't. Just an old man who is good at getting what he wants.

Lastly the left pauldron, is from the new death watch kit along with that great honking nemesis hammer. I used them mainly because of the big "I" on them but also because that hammer just screams ordo malleus. But in hind sight, maybe i should have put dead daemon bits on the base to make it more obvious.
