It's by Sergey Chasnyk, aka We7. He's done a lot of things which are Very Good, but I'd say this is his swooshiest by some margin. Better pics (and his feed) here: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=284 ... 0682034892

Shouldn't that thing have a turret on it?

From a technique standpoint, it's an amazing piece of work. Aesthetically, I really don't like it. The polished chrome look is ok as an accent effect on something, but as the predominant colour, it does nothing for me. Obviously tastes vary from person to person, so I'm sure there will be those who love it. Props to the painter for his outstanding skills with a brush though, I wouldn't even know where to start on something like that.

Yeah, I can see how it's technically an awesome achievement, and if you want your tank to look like an illustration from a comic book (and you might! takes all kinds &c.) it's great, but it's not really a look that makes my ears perk up.

I actually largely agree with both of you. It certainly doesnt scream 40k to me, not at all. I just figured it was really swooshy, is all :) And yes, I believe there will be a turret forthcoming, I guess? It's from eavier metal, which is very much a painters' group, so actual in-game stuff tends to get ignored in favour of, well, things like shiny.

evening all :) Here's a thing I saw today. It's maybe the first time I've seen painted-on shadows from non-present items really work. More pics in the link, but here's the front shot.

I dig it - it really works with the cel-shaded look on her face.

I keep forgetting to post cool stuff I find on Twitter to here.

Those are both amazing examples of what talent and skill can achieve.

I dig those Space-Sharks. Interesting collection of bitz used for the ornamentation.

And this just popped up on Yaktribe. Oh, my. Start counting all the kits used to build that and how much it must have cost.....https://yaktribe.games/community/media/ ... jpg.49915/

@Konrad - That is awesome. You'd need a step ladder to reach the top by the look of it. :D
