Hey,
Has anyone tried the army painter quick shades? Are they any good or are they just a big can of Devlan Mud?
Taka has some over at FMP and I was thinking of getting some.

I made somethign similar using clear varnish, black paint, black ink, and water. It got the job done pretty well, shaded very nicely.

I'd recommend it.

Never tried 'em but have heard quite a few good things about them. What are you going to be painting with them?
As for myself, I am big fan of Devlan Mud and the other GW washes, for FOW and Fantasy. The flesh wash is quite good for shading flesh (well duh!) and Badab black makes painting chain mail and armour a breeze.

If they are big cans of devlan mud, buy ten. The stuff is priceless. As with Mike, Ive heard good things about em. Ive also heard good things about their varnish. If you do decide to make an order with Taka, could you PM me, cos I really want some of their spray matt varnish, and maybe some gloss, too, if they have it. Anyway, aye, army painter : good.
