Dang, looking nice! I guess the brittleness is the only real negative on the "quality of the miniatures" front?

If only I lived in an actual house...

I live in an actual house and I can tell you I will never get an actual 3D printer until they are:
A - Non-toxic
B - Don't produce a mess
and
C - Are totally odourless.
None of the above bother me particularly, but I am not the only person living in my house. So nothing stronger than poly-cement and spray paints (outdoors, on the driveway) are allowed. :(

A - This I could actually see in the foreseeable future. Although I could also see them charging a premium for a 100% non toxic resin.

B- I don't see the process ever NOT producing a mess. Unless we somehow transition to a non liquid form of material.

C- I believe there already are some odourless resins on the market already! I haven't tried them though

After about a week with it. I have to say, 3D printing is really fun. A lot more fun than ordering stuff from Europe, paying for shipping and waiting for delivery. It's like having a miniatures factory in your own house!

Those minis do look really cool. It seems like half the wargaming news I see these days is relating to 3D printing. Having seen the results from your printer, I can see why it's so popular.

3d printing diary

The Frost Jotun!

My most ambitious print to date. From March to December I think Ihave used up about 8 kgs of resin and printed out ...maybe a shelf worth of stuff. Haven't died from poisoning yet and don't really mind the smell. It's amazing what your body can get used to.

The only problem is, I have so many things to paint now that "Backlog" has become a word completely devoid of laughter. hmmm.

Ooft! Look at the size of that Jotun! (That’s what she said :P ) Really nice print. I’m sure your painting will do it justice.

As for the backlog, eh, it’s the same for all of us (except Dave. He’s weird :? ) It just means you have plenty of options for when the painty mood takes you.
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Thank you and Thank you!

we thank the machine spirit and motive force for no print failures during the the whole 2 days it took to print.

@oooh I'll try my best. There have been some truely amazing paints for this mini. He kind of falls over if not based so I need to ...base him. Ugh I've used so much resin
