I'm sure there will be many more pictures and info over on warcom soon, but I thought the announced winner of the GD at adepticon there was worth mentioning.
Some thoughts:
First and foremost, it's bloomin' immaculate. Very, very smooth blending etc, and colour choice is spot on. But more than that, it's incredibly understated for a GD winner. No bling, no conversion, no huuuuge base, and it's not even a ginormous centerpiece monster. Heck, it's not even a new model! (Well, certainly not that new.) It would appear, in defiance of historical precedent, that this mini was chosen entirely on the basis of it being really well painted.
I approve.
What do y'all think of this?

Re: Golden demon 2022
I love it because at first glance it looks like "eh, I could get close with Contrast and a sculpted base".
And ever single detail definitively says "no, you could not" the second you focus on it.
