Mortifactors

Post by Seb » Sat Dec 11, 2010 3:06 pm

I decided that my chapter's gene seed is derived from the Mortifactor chapter, and while I was doing some background research I came upon this Swedish guy's mortifactor army, which he was selling for about 30.000 yen this summer.

This is the most beautifully painted army I have seen so far, even though this army is not 100% completed yet. It won 2nd and 3rd place in some GW painting competition last year.

The artwork is all hand drawn, but not only the painting, I really like the conversions and the base work as well. It really fits the mortifactor theme.

Really want to be able to paint like this, check it out;

Whilst I am not a big fan of the purple, that is an amazing looking army.
The Mortificators feature in one of the 40k novels I think. Warriors of Ultramar? I'm not sure. I'll have to dig it out and check. They are probably one of the cooler things to come from the Ultramarines.

If you're going to do your army up like that, then I would love to see the finished product. It would be well cool.

I wish I could do something like that, just see how close I can get. :)

I want the look of my chapter to be a mix between the mortifactors and the space wolves, think wolf skulls, lots of wolf skulls.

Kind of feels like I am robbing you of your bits, which you have been very generous with. If there are any bits that you won't use I wouldn't mind buying from you, I am grateful anyway. :D

HA. Hahahahahahahahahaha :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Oh how that makes me smile.
I have bits that I wont use even if I live to see the year 40,000! Most people have a bits box or two. I have a bits room. And it is FULL. If I can help out anyone with a couple of must have pieces for their newest army, then I will do my best. In return, I expect that once you have your army that you will help others out if they need a specific bit and you have one spare. Whilst bits can be bought and sold, it is better if they are traded or simply given.
That said, dont ask for melta guns as those things are like gold dust. :D

It has grown since then.

I see, You are running a forge world in your apartment. :D

Nah but honestly, I am impressed by your dedication to the hobby. And I like the philosophy of bit trading, I would have no problem with giving away bits that I won't use to someone who could have great use of them, I respect that.
