WIP March

Post by Primarch » Fri Mar 04, 2011 3:09 am

Well, I've been hard at work getting some models ready for Ashmie's RPG event tomorrow (sat 5th march), and I have finally got them all done.
http://www.nagoyahammer.com/forum/viewt ... 858#p12191
First off:
Image
Models for an Adept, Arbite, Assassin and Cleric.
Next:
Image
Models for a Guardsman, Psyker, Scum and Tech Priest.
The Tech Priest is a kitbash from a lot of different pieces. The legs are from a high elf archer, in place of feet there is a small wheel/track made from an IG autocannon ammo pack, his torso and head are from a marine, left arm is an Empire standard bearer, right arm and pouches from an IG officer, mechadendrite is a skaven tail, the backpack is from a metal 'Heavy Gear' model and the armour on his arm is from a 'Warzone' model.
Finally:
Image
A group of gangers and ruffians. The models are all from Urban Mammoth's 'militia' pack. They are a tiny bit smaller than GW, but still look pretty decent.

@MIJ, is that all stock or did you do any conversions? Nice, very ambitious checker pattern.

The cheques on the collars are great.
The legs and arms, pretty good too.
The tabard/loin cloth thingy needs a bit of tidying though.

All in all, a great first try at cheques and I am sure your next go will be even better.

@badruck and prim - hmmn. a couple of weeks, about 1hr a day, but that was at the same time as i was building my hellions and 2 ravagers, converting a baron sathonyx, and fixing my avatar's left hand.

i'm easily distracted

@ konrad - all stock

@ spev - canny observations, and pretty much what i was thinking myself. The back of the loincloth is a good deal neater than the front, due to the fact that i did the front first. Its also trickier to tidy than, say, the body or legs, because theres a two-colour blend behind it. Regardless, as you say, its ok for a first try, i reckon. onwards and upwards :)
