Some more Epic stuff

Mostly because I'm kind of chuffed that I got everything all painted and based for a game tomorrow, here's a little bit more of my Epic stuff.
First, 725 points of the Blood Angels I'll be bringing to the table - a Tactical detachment and a detachment of Land Speeders:
Then, 700 points of the Orks the good Admiral will be using - a single mechanized Warband.
...I'm doomed.

Thats all sorts of cool.
I take it thats a small game right? How long would a game that size last?

Just the stuff in the pics wouldn't even make a game in any real sense - one formation is essentially an individual squad if you think of it in a 40K-ish fashion. 3000 points is a "standard" game (but it scales up nicely), and most forces at that size will have between 6 and 8 formations.
Checking my army lists...
The 3000-point Marine force I'll be using tomorrow will have 2 Tactical formations just like that one (less the Land Speeders, which are a formation on their own), a Devastator formation of 4 stands in razorbacks plus 2 vindicators, an Assault formation of 8 stands in a Thunderhawk, the Land Speeders, a formation of 4 Whirlwinds, and one more formation of 4 stands of Death Company in Rhinos.
The Orks the Admiral gets will have 2 Warbands just like the one in the picture, a mob of 6 Stompas, a Blitz Brigade of 10 Gunwagons (including a couple that some Big Meks have bolted Soopaguns onto), a Kult of Speed with 8 Warbuggies and 8 stands of Warbikes, a Stormboyz Korps of 9 stands, and a Big Gunz mob of 5 Gunz. Er, Guns. Whichever. (And don't worry, there're some Flakwagons mixed in there to keep the Thunderhawk on its toes, heh.)
3000 points usually takes, oh, 3 or 4 hours for folks who know the rules? Something like that.

Rather than spam up the forum with another thread, I'll add to this one. Some of my Eldar! I have nearly 3000 points painted up - I have to put the final details on some wave serpents, then paint up either 3 superheavies or 2 revenants (I haven't quite decided which to do first) and I'll be good to go. That's a project for next month, though.
Anyhoo, here's some of them skinny Eldar:
An Aspect Warrior warhost in Wave Serpents. For some reason, the Warhost comes with only "generic" exarchs, which are nonetheless all pretty clearly Swooping Hawks. Ah well, paint 'em up right and they look fine. Imagine they're all autarchs, or something.
A closeup of a Wave Serpent. They're forgeworld resin jobbies, and I'm actually a little disappointed. You'll notice that the cockpit canopies have no detail whatsoever, for example. They're half the price of the metal ones straight from GW though (!?) so that's what I used.
A Falcon troupe and a Fire Prism troupe.
And a Guardian Warhost with attached Wraithguard (my only real nod to the Iyanden paint scheme, on account of how hard Wraithguard models are to come by) emerging from a battlefield Wraithgate.

Looking good.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Revenants.

Part of the reason I've taken a bit to get to them is that I want to make sure I have the paint scheme down to where I can do them justice.

(Which means chances are good I'll do the superheavies first.)

In English, Badruck wanted to say that those models look cool and he is looking forward to his next game of Epic.

I only started the Eldar this past New Year's. I needed a project and realized that there really wasn't much I could do to add to my marines, orks or guard - and I've wanted to collect some Eldar for a while, and suddenly realized I'm not poor any more, heh.
Fortunately, they should keep me busy for a little while yet. I still have a third Aspect Warrior host to paint, two more Guardian warhosts (for a total of four), a couple formations of jetbikes, two revenants, four superheavies, and an old Warlock titan I have kicking around.
