How many points for Nagoyahammer 2014

Post by Miguelsan » Fri Sep 27, 2013 11:01 am

I know it's early but if I'm taking my IG I would need to know the point limits to plan in advance and start painting. IG is not an army you can finish in a weekend of hard work :D

For you? 7 points!

Seriously, I haven't even booked the venue yet, let alone given any thought to games.
No more than 2000 points is a safe bet.

7 pts?
Cool, when the new codex hits the streets Vendettas will be nerfed beyond recognicion and infantry platoons will cost 2pts each (along with boxes being cut to 5 guardsman each)

I should be able to book the venue on Oct. 1st and I will post to let people know dates etc then.

My current thinking is for tag team games again as they seem popular.
Probably something like this format.
Game 1 - 500 point teams.
Game 2 - 750 point teams.
Game 3 - 1000 point teams.

No fortifications, allies or 2nd FoC. Basic chart only.

If we have an odd number, having a 1500 or 2000 point list will help balance things out with a 1vs2 style game.

This is all just my preliminary idea though.

I like that format. Sounds good.

Been thinking a no fortifications unless they are on the table as a rule as well

Seems fine to me, despite my having a rather natty allies detachment for my corsairs. Needs of the many, and a' that :)

Fortifications can get out of hand I was looking at the fortress redemption and thinking. What if I made an orkky fort uv 'ead blastn'

Can you imagine Tau with one of those things.

I've actually been considering a Fortress of Redemption, as well as the other fortification kits. However the inevitable transport issues have dissuaded me so far. Perhaps I could hinge it to fold up?

Anyway, no fortifications would be acceptable as well. I'll just bring my flyers instead.
