Painting hummm I have a goal to have every last one of my Orks Painted before this event... Not sure if I will be taking orks... but I will have at least 4 painted armies. Possibly 5 I can say that even thought I am sure Grotz could be a winning army I only have like 3 Grotz painted and considering half of the army has not been bought yet. I had better go with one of my painted armies... But make no mistake there will be Grot Army winning tournaments and making folks cry out I lost to GROTZ!!! I can't wait

What do you define as cheesy? Whenever I take a non cheesy army I always find that everyone else has brought the most powerful force they could muster. In which case I get wiped out. How to get the balance right?

Anyway at least 4 players so far so that's good.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

for a competitive tourny, cheesy is good. bring on the cheese, i say. rob will win, of course, if he plays orks. Stu will win if he plays guard. You and I are doomed, but let's go anyway :D

I will be playing fair, but I will be out to win. So, anyone out there who wants to fudge an extra 2 or 3 inches on their movement will have to conform to the rules. Call me pedantic, but I place my minis so that they are 2 to 3 inches out of range of a charge or some guns.
Is that directed at anyone in particular?

Hi all,

I´m Miguel from Kobe Admiral Badruck (Roberto) told me some time ago about you guys and I wanted to go for GW with Adam and the other guys but I couldn´t make it at the end.
I´ll be visiting the in-laws in O-bon and hopefully I´ll be carrying my figures to play if I can solve 2 problems.
First, I need to stop procastinating and finish as many IGs as I can for the event so I can reach at least 1500pts (I´m up to 5 squads plus HQ and 3HWTs but I still have over 100 figures waiting)
Second and more important, I´m using non-GW figures in industrial scale as I´m aiming for the WW1 look and was not going to sink several hundred Euros in a Krieg Army, I went instead with the old Warzone figures. Everything is as legal as I could make it but I know that some people might dislike playing non GW stuff.

So I´ll be posting some pics later for the TO to judge and if I get the ok from you guys and noting unexpected happens I hope to see you next month.

M.

PS: Roberto already beat me twice so he can comment on my proxy army.

Quite the opposite for me mate. The more proxying I see, the higher my estimation of said gamer goes :)

Welcome aboard.

Yup, Im fine with proxying too, as long as an effort has been made to make it as easily identifiable as possible. The amount of coolness inherent in the mini can often offset non-identifiablity, though.

*note* at least try and keep things the right size. You hear me, admiral? no more nonsense like two trukks where one is 4 times bigger than the other. I dont care if one of them is the old gorka morka model, that dont make it OK...

Hi Miguel, I am the TO and I have some of the old Warzone plastic figures. They are fine for this event. So long as your wargear (meltas, plasmas etc) are easy to distinguish, then please play with those figures.
