If you are flying into Heathrow, I imagine it will be a nightmare. Mind you, Heathrow is always a nightmare. Wont you lose your deposit on the tickets? What about Blur?
You are more than welcome at the event of course. :D

I think there's a decent chance I can attend too.. girlfriend has had ample time to formulate a plan for the August break with me but is dragging her heels, so man dolls should win out. Black Powder? I'll get working on my French Cav brigade.

@ Prim. I know man. What about Blur? It is a dilemma. Perhaps I would be mad to pass it up. I would lose about 30,000 en on the cancelation charge and have to sell my Blur ticket. It's insane not to go isn't it. I just got really freaked by the riots last year and the mania of London during Olympics. Pessimistic of me perhaps.

I reckon london will be fine during the olympics. Eyes of the world on it, and all that. For most londoners itll be business as usual, I think.

nothing to worry about. I reckon this riskiest thing about being in London at the time is all the inflated prices that restaurants and cafes will be charging.

I don't think it is insane to not go, I think it is insane to go. I haven't been back home for 7 years due to the sheer price of it. If you can afford it, go for it mate. If not, suck up the 30,000 loss and use that money to do something for the family.

@ Spev and everyone
It's great advice as always. Thanks. :D I'll sleep on it some more and if I decide not to go then that really would be a heap of stress and money saved for my family. Thanks for your help and understanding on this it really does mean a lot to me and is very helpful.
Oh I avoided chicken in kyushoku today only to attempt a 1 hour cycle home from work in the 4 o clock sun. Soon as I got in the door I hit the bacon sandwiches with ketchup and tabasco. I needed the hit. Save the workout for tomorrow evening. :D

Fair folk of Nagoyahammer. I'll attend the history hammer this August, with actual bells on! :D :D :D Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu. Incidentally anyone fancy a game of something this weekend, it's a 3 dayer, public hols Monday. Sunday or Monday would probably work best for me.
