The Last Huzzah - October 13th
Re: The Last Huzzah - October 13th
Wow, Komura, that is quite a force! I guess you bring them to defend the Empress Marie Lousie's honor against the rapacious Russian and brutish British horde!
I think I will be leaving behind two of my unpainted French regiments and a regiment of unpainted hussars, so I guess a count of the glorious Franco-Austrian force would be:
20 infantry (2 guard, 4 grenadier, 2 light), 3 calvary and 6 batteries. (29)
If I took an old count of Mike's Russians, I guess it comes out to something like:
14 infantry (2 grenadier, 3 light) 5 calvary and 10 batteries. (29)
I think that works out pretty darn even. Not perfect, but a pretty good balance. If Mike has more men, I still have more infantry and calvary. (Maybe I can even paint them!)
Of course, if the perfidious Prussian ally come to battle, we can probably shake things up again to fit them in on one side or the other.
BTW, should I bring a battle mat and some terrain to the event?

Franco-Austrian Alliance
20 infantry (2 guard, 4 grenadier, 2 skirmishers), 3 calvary and 6 batteries. (23/29)
Anglo-Russian Coalition
14 infantry (3 grenadier, 3 skirmishers), 5 calvary and 11 batteries. (19/30)
Prussia ?
As of now I think things stack up well enough. The Franco-Austrians have an advantage infantry with more regiments, some larger ones and slightly more elite infantry, although the British sweeps give the Skirmisher advantage to the Anglo-Russians. The cavalry advantage lies with the Russians and British, but the French have the veteran lances of the Polish Vistula picadores. Also the artillery advantage lies with the British and Russsian guns. Even though the Allies have more battalions, the Coalition enjoys significant advantages in other arms of their army.

It all depends on the Prussians arriving, eh?
If things look too out of kilter on Monday morning, we can always leave out some units.

Déjà vu.
True enough. I can also bring some regiments to play the part Grouchy.
I suppose Primarch, you may have an idea for scenario? Or do go at in the same old fashion?

As you know via weather report, very strong typhoon 19 may hit tokai area in Monday morning or afternoon.
That may lead some member can't come game place or can't go home due to local train or bus stop.
I'm very concern member's safety. Should we postpone or cancel this event. Let me know your thought.

There is no refund or option to reschedule on the room, so cancelling or postponing both mean we need to make another reservation at some later point in time.komura wrote:As you know via weather report, very strong typhoon 19 may hit tokai area in Monday morning or afternoon.

It's up to everyone to decide for themselves if they want to attend or not. I should be there as it is very near my home. Keep an eye on the weather on Sunday evening and check the reports on monday and choose what is best for you.

As it's looking like BP is the only game going, I might give Monday a miss.
So many games, so little time....

Re: The Last Huzzah - October 13th
I have nothing else planned. I'd like to be there.
Typhoon permitting Prussia will try. Maybe I'll stay in Nagoya again if I can't get back.
I won't know until the morning of the game I guess.
If I come I'll bring 4 units of Prussians plus the units Job gave me. I think that makes about 7 units of Landwehr.
Let's see about this typhoon first.
