For those of you on social media, now is the time to start pestering your friends and followers.
The way it's looking, would it make more sense to focus on 40K on day 2? :?:

2 days of 40K? Would that really make a difference to the number of people coming?

@ Jus: Would you like to join us? 40k seems always better in a group. And I thought you had some thousand sons that needed to obliterate the enemies of Tzentch.

For what it's worth, I'm keen to play 40k, and would love to be there on the Saturday to do so, but the inescapable fact is that Mrs. MiJ is a home room teacher this year, and that Saturday is a school thingy that she cannot get out of. Thus, I'm at home with the kids. Immovable obstactle, I'm afraid. Anyway, if the 40k event were moved to Sunday I'd be a happy camper (but if not I'll play 40k anyway :P )

ps, I should probably mention that I appreciate that low attendance on Saturday could be an issue for Prim, both in terms of time invested in organising this and also financially. So, thank you Prim, for taking the time to organise Naghammer every year, and should finances become a problem, I'm sure we can all do our bit to make sure Prim doesn't have to swallow the cost by himself (should it come to that. Who knows? Maybe a whole bunch o folks will turn up and he'll be swimming in a pool of cash at the end of the day?)

eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I see.
I'm not sure it will have any great effect on attendance, people don't seem to be staying away because of the games being played, it's mainly real-life stuff. If there are more people on Sunday who want to play 40K, then I don't see why we couldn't switch things around, but the day 2 40Kers seem to be organizing big games rather than the quicker 1000 point level I had planned out. Would people prefer a more 'arrange whatever games you like approach' rather than having points and times dictated by me?

Any thoughts guys?

@Prim: Either way's fine by me, as you said it is real life stuff getting in the way of me coming the first day, not game preferences.

I do like smaller games of 40K better these days, but as I am likely playing Epic on Sunday, at least for part of the time, it really should be up to other people.

The Underdweller just let me know she's in for the morning Epic slot. (In the best of all possible worlds, since this is a participation game, somebody else would sign up for the same slot! :) )
Feel free to call me Dave!

For those who will be playing 40k all day, the small points and the time limits may give more of an event feel and help to keep up momentum I guess.

@ Prim: I haven't explicitly chimed in on when I will be coming, but you have surmised as much. I feel obliged by my position to not take to take the whole weekend off for war games. Moreover, my wife may understand one day to war game, but it would be poor form to leave her and my daughter alone for two. (I feel bad enough asking for the one day.) Sorry, I'll just be attending the Sunday. : (
