Orc-tober Fest 2 - 13th and 14th

Post by Primarch » Wed Aug 01, 2012 6:53 am

Hey everyone. As if the cooler temperatures and drop in humidity weren't enough, now you have another reason to look forward to Autumn, ORC-TOBER FEST!

That's right, Orc-tober Fest 2 is booked and just like the event last year we will be holding a Warhammer Fantasy Tournament.

On Saturday the 13th of October we have 6 gaming tables ready and waiting for your fantasy armies to come and battle it out for the day. The tournament will be 2500 points per side*, played in inches and as usual, terrain will be supplied for the event. I will be on hand with an army should there be an odd number of players, but otherwise I wont be entering and will just be present as a referee should one be required.

On Sunday the 14th of October we only have 4 tables, but players are free to play WFB, or to arrange games of something else if they want to.

Schedule
Saturday 13th
9:30 - Doors open
10:00 - Game 1
13:00 - Lunch time
14:00 - Game 2
17:00 - Break
17:30 - Game 3
20:30 - Games finish and winner is announced
21:00 - Doors close

Sunday 14th
9:00 - Doors open
---Free Play---
16:30 - Doors close

Entrance will be:
750 yen for Saturday
500 yen for Sunday
1000 yen for both days

The venue is Meeting Room 1 on the first floor of the Nagoya City Womens Center and Lifelong Learning Center near to Higashi Betsuin.

*As there are a bunch of relatively new players in the area (thanks to Hobby Shop Town Crier), players will be allowed to form teams so long as their combined army follows the rules for army composition at 2500 points (e.g. 625 points Lords, 625 points Heroes etc).

Current Tournament Entrants:

I'd better get painting on my Dogs of War then! Will probably need a partner as I doubt I'll have a full army painted by then....

A tentative yes from me. I'd love to be there to get some more WH on the bedposts before the year is out but it's the All Analog Games Weekend in Tsu the weekend after so I probably wont be able to stretch two gaming weekends in one month. We shall see. :)
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

That is very true! I am already committed to All Analog Games Weekend in Tsu, so I really can't handle two weekends of gaming with work. Well, I could but it would be a punch in the salary and I think it would be frowned upon by the wife. I could split it a day a piece... but I know the Tsu guys really go out of their way to put together events that only happen occasionally down there.

Sunday, free play, sounds like a good time for the annual Halloween Mordhiem bash. Anyone up for a Chaos on the Streets multi-player game? I'll bring candy for prizes.
