Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am happy to announce that our historical themed event, History Hammer, is back.
On Saturday August 17th we will have 6 tables from 9:30 to 21:00 to play some historical and semi-historical games.

The games on offer will cover both true historical games and some wierder alternatives if folks want to give them a try. The games include:

Flames of War
Black Powder
Cutlass
Dust Tactics
Bolt Action

And for the first time in Nagoya, Hail Caesar. I will be bringing along a small force of Imperial Romans and a second force of Celts to play some small games. If anyone wants to join in the fun, just let me know. I will provide everything.

If there are any other historical-ish things people want to bring along, feel free to do so.
I will be providing terrain for most of the game, but I dont have a lot for FoW so if there are a lot of people wanting to play then any extra terrain will help.
I have 2 full forces for Dust if people want to try it and can provide British minis for Black Powder and german and Russian forces for Bolt Action

Entrance will be 500 yen for the day.

The venue is the Nagoya City Womens Center and Lifelong learning center near to Higashi Betsuin.

I'll look forward to it. It is going to be a little tricky to negotiate with ToD's Epic event the week before, and the week before that the 40k Armageddon event and Joshin. Then Joshin again two weeks later. Tricky but it should be awesome to game several weeks in a row after a near two and half month hiatus from gaming. :)

BTW, I've got tons of terrain for FOW and Mike just has an amazing amount, if he comes.

P.S. Don't forget to update the calendar. It should be a packed month of events!

Sounds awesome! Sadly I'll have moved back to Canada for a long "vacation" from Japan. I might be back this Winter if things are looking as they do back home and there's jobs in the area here ^-^

I'd like to play Black Powder.

I'd like to learn BP too, although my figures won't be ready in time for the event.

I'm assuming you mean BA?

Anyway, I guess its time we started figuring out who is coming and what they want to play.
As I said in the first post, we have 6 tables and probably enough time for 3 games.
I would like to run one game of Hail Caesar as I have been working hard to get my Celts and Romans finished. I am also available for any of the other games listed above, but I am happy to run demos and loan out armies if need be.
Confirmed games:
Morning

Afternoon

Evening

Players:
Prim - HC, BA, BP, Dust, Cutlass
Job - BP, BA
Badruck - ?
Komura - BP, BA

Any more?

Yes of course. Could you also pass on information about this event to the Beginners Club please. We have a few empty tables if people want to come along and play.

@All - It looks like there will be a little extra room, so if people do want to come along and try and get some games in, feel free. Historical stuff will get priority for table space, but small skirmishy games and boardgames are fine. So if anyone wants to bring along Blood Bowl or Mordheim or something, it's cool. I won't be providing much terrain though as I will have my hands full with historical stuff.
